The artist is Cris Wick, and his portfolio can be found here. I happen to be listening to Mos Def when I ran across this image of him by Cris Wick. I absolutely love everything about it. The dark background, the typography imposed over his face, and the blue black color scheme really helps set the mood of the whole image. Very well done.
